Love Must Be Blind

I had to wear blinders

To get to your heart

There was not one clear path

Where I could even start

You were the darkened night

Where no one dared to go

But I took the same steps over and over

And one night there was a glow

One crescent ray of hope

From one passionate plan

Now you are the garden

Where I replant hopes from my sand

We water them with our kisses

And ice them with sweet words

Love must be blind

To have survived all those curves

Now you hold the reins to my ecstasy

And cradle me when  I am in need

Ahhhhhh ...  Your love is so sweet

It was worth all my battled deeds
