Castle of Sand

Would I be safe

Being your best friend?

Would we draw circles of magic

In every beach of sand?

Would you carry my troubles

When mine were a heavy load?

Would you still be there

When we finally grow old?

Would you let me win

When I have lost too much?

Would you hold my hand

When I am scared of being lost?

Would we dance in the rain

When our life moves to slow?

Would your promises be real

When a price could tempt them sold?

And when our journeys

Take different paths

Would you always remember

Me and my laugh?

Building a castle made of sand...

I gave you protection from the dragons.

You smashed it down and said begin again...

Laughing, testing once again my reaction.

I grow older with you each and every day...

It is my job to make sure that you are safe.

No matter how far apart, or come what may...

There are some memories in life that cannot be replaced

I will never let you win when you lose too much...

For to do that, I failed to hold your hand.

Before you lost those things you valued to touch...

I will always protect you like the castle in the sand.

Thunder nor lightning will stop our hearts...

From connecting when we are apart.

I promise you this, no matter what...

You have been my angel from the start.

So chase away from me as you mature...

I know you are only a heartbeat away.

And I know you are ever so sure...

I am there for you everyday.
